Former 'Bachelorette' contestant Josh Seiter has admitted that his recent claims of being a transgender woman were part of a social experiment aimed at exposing what he called the "gullibility" of the left.

Seiter, who came out as a transgender woman in May 2024, revealed in an interview on BlazeTV’s 'Prime Time with Alex Stein' that his five-month journey was a ruse to highlight the left's alleged delusions.

“I think a lot of trans women are turned on at the thought of themselves being women. Guess what? It doesn’t magically make them women,” Seiter said, emphasizing that he does not believe hormones or surgeries are necessary for transitioning.

Seiter described his experience facing "intolerance, bigotry, and gatekeeping" from both sides of the political spectrum, including from within the LGBTQIA+ community. He began the interview with a full face of makeup and a transgender flag scarf but had a staff member wipe off his makeup during the show, revealing his "hoax" on camera.

“I faked being a faker. I pretended to be a pretender,” Seiter stated. He went on to assert that dressing in makeup and women’s clothing does not inherently make someone a woman, arguing that the experiment was intended to make people reflect on the concept of gender identity.

Seiter previously came out as pansexual in 2021 and bisexual in 2023, though he did not discuss these identities during the interview. His remarks, particularly equating being transgender with mental illnesses like schizophrenia, have drawn significant backlash, with critics pointing out that gender dysphoria is not classified as a mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association.
