Pakistan batter Kamran Ghulam has marked his Test debut with a century against England in the second Test in Multan on Tuesday. Ghulam's impressive knock earned him a spot in the record books as the 13th Pakistan batter to score a century on debut, joining an elite list of cricketing greats.

Khalid Ibadulla was the first Pakistan cricketer to score 166 runs in his debut innings against Australia in Karachi. Javed Miandad followed with a remarkable 163 runs against New Zealand in Lahore. Saleem Malik made an unbeaten 100 runs in his third innings against Sri Lanka in Karachi, while Mohammad Wasim scored 109 runs in the fourth innings against New Zealand in Lahore.

Ali Naqvi scored 115 runs in his debut innings against South Africa in Rawalpindi, and Azhar Mahmood remained unbeaten with 128 at the same venue against South Africa. Younus Khan contributed 107 runs in his third innings against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, and Taufeeq Umar scored 104 runs in the second innings against Bangladesh in Multan. Yasir Hameed shone with scores of 170 and 105 in his second and fourth innings against Bangladesh in Karachi.

Fawad Alam impressed with 168 runs in the third innings against Sri Lanka in Colombo, while Umar Akmal scored 129 runs in the second innings against New Zealand in Dunedin. Abid Ali rounded out the list with an unbeaten 109 in the second innings against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.

Ghulam's milestone came at a crucial time, as Pakistan's innings started shakily, with the loss of two quick wickets in the first hour of play. The 29-year-old, alongside Saim Ayub, stabilized the innings with a brilliant 150+ run partnership, pushing Pakistan back on track. Ayub, however, fell short of his century, dismissed for 77. Saud Shakeel also struggled, contributing just four runs before falling to Brydon Carse.
