Demi Moore, renowned actress and former spouse of Bruce Willis, shared a heartfelt update on the actor's health during her appearance at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday, October 13. Moore, who was honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award, took a moment during the live discussion to reflect on her journey of support as Willis continues to battle frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Speaking to a live audience in a session moderated by HIFF Advisory Board member Alina Cho, Moore, 61, revealed that her ex-husband, 69, is "stable" despite the challenges of FTD. "The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is," she shared. "But for where he's at, he is stable."

Moore offered insight into how she copes with Willis' condition, stressing the importance of accepting the reality of the situation. "What I always encourage is to just meet them where they're at. When you're holding on to what was, I think it's a losing game," she explained, adding, "But when you show up to meet them where they're at, there is great beauty and sweetness."

Reflecting on her recent visit with Willis just two days prior, Moore spoke fondly of the time spent with him and their granddaughter, Louetta, who is the daughter of Rumer Willis. "Being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it," she said, underscoring the value of cherishing moments with loved ones.

Bruce Willis' battle with frontotemporal dementia has been widely followed by fans, with the actor stepping away from acting in 2022 after his diagnosis. Moore’s update provides a glimpse of the resilience and grace she and their family continue to show in navigating this difficult time.
