Two bogies of the Karachi Express derailed near the Hyderabad Railway Station shortly after the train's departure on early Sunday morning. All the passengers remained safe in the incident.
The incident occurred in the Railway Yard, and Station Headquarter Officer (SHO) Railway Police Ghulam Hussain Brohi confirmed that no loss of life occurred as a result of the derailment.
Technical teams from Pakistan Railways promptly arrived at the scene and began efforts to restore the derailed bogies. Railway traffic on both the up and down tracks was halted immediately following the incident.
Operations to clear the tracks and restore normal traffic flow are currently underway.
MQM-P MNA and member of the Standing Committee of Railways Syed Waseem Hussain immediately contacted the Railway Authority and instructed to take departmental action against the responsible employees after investigating the accident.
On this occasion, MQM leaders immediately reached the spot and started relief activities. MNA Waseem Hussain while talking to DS Railway Sindh said protection of life and property of people is their first priority and any officer who neglects his responsibilities will not be able to perform his duties in Hyderabad.
