In a new strategy to control street crime in Peshawar, the Faqirabad Circle police will take action against those who post bail for snatchers involved in street crime.

Additionally, consultations are ongoing regarding blocking the identification cards of gang members involved in important cases. Under the special directives of CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan and SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar, SP Faqirabad Division Syed Talal Ahmed Shah, along with DSP Gulbahar Circle Sajjad Hussain and DSP Faqirabad Circle Imran Aslam Marwat, supervised key operations.

SHOs from various police stations, including Faqirabad, Gulbahar, Phandu, and Pahari Pura, took part in these operations.

During these raids, police traced and arrested a notorious gang involved in snatching on the Hashtnagri bridge and those involved in motorcycle theft.

The arrested suspects, residents of Hazarkhwani, Naguman, Rano Garhi, and Haji Camp, included a worker at a shop owned by a ghee trader.

The suspects confessed to their involvement in various snatching and robbery incidents during preliminary investigations. Authorities recovered PKR 5 million, 40 mobile phones, 15 motorcycles, a car, and weapons from their possession.
