Pop sensation Charli XCX has come to Billie Eilish’s defense following a questionable interview that sparked buzz online. During an October 10th interview with the LA Times, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas were asked whether she felt "threatened" by the rise of fellow pop stars such as Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan.

This question did not sit well with Charli XCX, who took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on October 12 to address it. The "Sympathy Is A Knife" singer wrote: “Pausing from ‘Brat’ completely different chaos to just say lol this is a crazy question.”

Billie Eilish, in the interview, also found the question absurd. She responded with humor, saying, “Are you kidding me? I’m so happy for these btches. It’s a crazy world when you get to the level they’re experiencing right now, and they’re doing great. Fans are drawn to them because they’re fcking awesome.”

The exchange highlights a sense of camaraderie among pop stars despite the often competitive nature of the music industry. Charli XCX’s public support of Eilish follows the trend of artists standing up for one another. Eilish herself has dismissed questions aimed at stirring rivalry in the past, including one from May, where she was asked about newer artists allegedly “copying” her style. Eilish emphasized that everyone, including herself, draws inspiration from others.

While music feuds can often fuel headlines, as seen in recent clashes between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, Eilish continues to reject negativity, promoting a more supportive attitude in the industry.
