Yung Filly, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, a prominent British YouTuber, comedian, and rapper, has been extradited from Queensland to Perth on serious sexual assault charges.
The 29-year-old, who rose to fame through his popular YouTube content and collaborations with British collectives like Beta Squad and Sidemen, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at a hotel room shortly after his performance at Bar1 nightclub in Hillarys on September 28.
Western Australia Police have charged Yung Filly with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding the woman's normal breathing by applying pressure to her neck.
Despite the gravity of the charges, the rapper is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Yung Filly, a social media star known for his comedic videos and musical talent, has amassed a massive following across various platforms, with over 10 million streams on Spotify and more than six million followers on TikTok and Instagram.
He has made significant strides in mainstream media, having hosted shows like BBC’s 'Hot Property' and Channel 4’s 'The Great Celebrity Bake Off'.
Alongside his online fame, he has partnered with top brands such as ASOS, McDonald's, and Captain Morgan rum.
