A 52-year-old man was murdered in Shahdara near Pindi Graveyard on Monday.
A spokesperson for Edhi Foundation said the body, bearing signs of severe physical assault, was recovered by the police following an emergency call on the 15 helpline.
Law enforcement and forensic teams arrived at the scene to gather evidence. After completing preliminary investigations, the body was transferred to the morgue via an Edhi ambulance.
Shahdara Town police launched an investigation using technology and CCTV footage, which revealed that the victim, Abid, had been assaulted and subsequently killed by a woman identified as Bushra.
The footage reportedly shows Bushra, along with unidentified accomplices, disposing of the body outside the residence. The police arrested Bushra the woman.
Though the motive remains unclear, SP City, Captain (retd) Qazi Ali Raza, confirmed that Bushra has been taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
The police continue to pursue other angles of the investigation, with more arrests likely, he added.
