Christopher Ciccone, brother of pop icon Madonna, has passed away at the age of 63 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. His publicist confirmed the news to DailyMail.com, stating that Ciccone died peacefully on October 4, 2024, surrounded by his husband Ray Thacker and loved ones at his Michigan home. "Christopher’s loving spouse was faithfully by his side during the final stages of the cancer that would ultimately end his life," said his representative.
Ciccone, who worked closely with Madonna throughout her career, was an artist, designer, and director. He played significant roles in organizing her concert tours, music videos, and served as her artistic director before their relationship became strained. In 2008, he published a tell-all memoir titled Life with My Sister Madonna, which contributed to their falling out.
Despite the ups and downs, Ciccone expressed in a 2012 interview that his relationship with Madonna had improved, stating they were "back to being a brother and sister." He is survived by his siblings and father, and his legacy remains a part of the Ciccone family's winemaking enterprise in Michigan.
