Keanu Reeves spun out during his professional racing debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Keanu Reeves, the 60-year-old Hollywood actor known for his roles in The Matrix and John Wick, made his professional auto racing debut on Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Toyota GR Cup. Reeves, driving the No. 92 BRZRKR car, spun out at turn nine more than halfway through the 45-minute race but avoided any collisions. He quickly re-entered the race and continued, showing no signs of injury.

Reeves, who started the race in 31st place out of 35 competitors, managed to run as high as 21st before finishing in 25th. He successfully avoided a first-lap crash in turn 14, showing his racing skills despite the setback. The Toyota GR Cup is a spec-racing series that serves as a support event for the Indy 8 Hour sports car race.

Reeves is promoting his graphic novel BRZRKR and its spin-off, The Book of Elsewhere, while competing in the race series. He is scheduled to compete in a second race on Sunday. The actor previously raced in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach celebrity race, where he won the event in 2009.

Reeves' professional racing debut has garnered significant attention, as he balances his racing career with his ongoing film commitments. He is set to attend a 30th-anniversary screening of Speed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, alongside his co-star Sandra Bullock.
