Sindh minister says no desire for governor's rule in K-P

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon cautioned on Saturday that if Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur continues to act unconstitutionally, alternative measures may be considered, although no party, including the PPP, seeks governor's rule in any province.

He alleged that the unrest was orchestrated by individuals intent on undermining Pakistan's development and security, describing their actions as part of a "well-planned conspiracy" designed to disrupt the nation and its institutions.

Speaking at a news conference in the capital, Memon pointed to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's (CM) involvement, stating that he has "stormed the federal capital with a militant group armed with sticks, cranes, and machinery."

He accused the K-P government of exploiting state resources for these disruptive activities, alleging that certain groups have been brought to Islamabad to incite chaos and challenge the country's stability.

Memon expressed concern over the political atmosphere coinciding with the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, adding that such disorder was uncharacteristic of the occasion.

He condemned the narrative of "No Pakistan without the captain," which he claimed is being propagated by Imran Khan's supporters, including Zach Goldsmith, a relative of Khan who currently resides in London.
