Gold prices in Pakistan decline following international trends
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decrease on Saturday, aligning with a drop in international rates. In the local market, the price per tola fell by Rs700, bringing it down to Rs275,500.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold also saw a decline of Rs600, settling at Rs236,197, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This shift follows a notable increase on Friday when gold prices surged by Rs1,800 to reach Rs276,200.
The international gold rate also decreased on Saturday, with the price at $2,653 per ounce (including a premium of $20), reflecting a $7 drop during the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs3,050 per tola.
Last week marked a peak for gold prices in Pakistan, hitting a record high of Rs277,000 per tola.
