Lieutenant colonel, five soldiers martyred in Waziristan clash with terrorists

Exchange of fire results in the deaths of six Fitna al Khawarij terrorists in Spinwam area of North Waziristan: ISPR

A firefight between security forces and terrorists resulted in the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat and five soldiers in Spinwam area of North Waziristan,according to ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations).

The exchange of fire also led to the deaths of six Fitna al Khawarij terrorists.

In the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, a fire exchange occurred between security forces and terrorists, during which six Fitna al Khawarij combatants were killed.

According to ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations), Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat, along with five soldiers, embraced martyrdom during the intense exchange of fire.

The martyred soldiers include Lance Naik Muhammad Allah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, Lance Naik Shahidullah, Lance Naik Yousaf Ali, and Sepoy Jamil Ahmed.

ISPR stated that the sacrifices of these brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve. Pakistan's security forces are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism, and a sanitisation operation is underway to clear the area of remaining militants.

According to ISPR, 43-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat, who was martyred, hailed from Faisalabad. He is survived by his wife and three sons.

Lance Naik Muhammad Allah, aged 30, was from Khyber District, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, aged 30, was from Lakki Marwat, Lance Naik Shahidullah, aged 29, was from Tank District, Lance Naik Yousaf Ali, aged 31, was from Lower Orakzai, and Sepoy Jamil Ahmed, aged 26, was from Swat District.

Earlier law enforcement agencies carried out a joint intelligence-based operation in Swat's Charbagh area during the night of October 4-5, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.

During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of gunfire, leading to the deaths of two terrorists, including a key external leader, Attaullah. Another terrorist was apprehended in wounded condition.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Attaullah had been involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region, including a bomb attack on a police convoy escorting foreign dignitaries on September 22.

A follow-up clearance operation was conducted to secure the area and ensure no further terrorist presence.
