Popular YouTuber and streamer PewDiePie, also known as Felix Kjellberg, was briefly banned on Twitch on October 3, 2024, while streaming an endless loop of his old YouTube videos. The ban was widely discussed across social media, making him trend on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). According to StreamerBans, an automated account that tracks streamer bans, the ban lasted only 14 minutes and 24 seconds before it was lifted.

Fans and users on X joked about the incident, with some referring to the 2017 controversy when PewDiePie used the “N-word” while playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, an incident for which he later apologized. Despite the jokes, many of his fans defended Kjellberg, stating that Twitch made an error by banning him. One fan commented, “It would have been unfair. Don’t see the difference between any other streamer doing it and Bob Ross’s channel.”

Others pointed out that PewDiePie is now a family man, taking care of his child, and suggested that Twitch should be more lenient. A user wrote, "Twitch shouldn’t ban a man that has family to care for. PewDiePie is truly in his loving husband and father era."
