Kristen Bell opens up about her memorable on-screen kiss with Adam Brody in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, generating social media buzz.
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s latest Netflix show, Nobody Wants This, has caught attention for more than just its plot. The show, which is loosely based on creator Erin Foster’s life, features Brody as Noah, a Jewish rabbi, and Bell as Joanne, an agnostic podcaster. One particular scene, in which the pair shares a kiss, has sparked social media conversation, with Bell describing it as the “best on-screen kiss” she’s ever done.
In an interview with MTV, Bell shared how Brody took the kiss to another level by making spontaneous acting choices. “My greatest memory is that I wasn't prepared for Adam to put his hands on my face as he did with so many of the kisses,” Bell said, adding that even crew members reacted to the moment. “I was like, ‘Oh, this is gonna work.’”
Brody, best known for his role as Seth Cohen in The O.C., has won praise for his portrayal of Noah, further cementing his internet heartthrob status. Speaking to InStyle, Brody reflected on how the relationship between his character and Bell’s mirrors real-life modern dating. “There’s not a magic person for you that’s perfect… It’s gonna take some compromise; you’ll definitely have to swallow some pride to grow,” he explained.
Bell, who is married to Dax Shepard, and Brody, who is married to Leighton Meester, both brought their personal experiences to the show, which continues to generate buzz on social media.
