Kathryn Hahn revealed that she is often confused for fellow actress Ana Gasteyer during her appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on Monday. The Agatha All Along star shared, “I'm always confused, and flatteringly so, with Ana Gasteyer. We always are confused with each other.” Hahn added that Gasteyer frequently sends her photos of Starbucks cups with messages like, "I love Bad Moms," referencing a film in which Hahn — not Gasteyer — starred.
Hahn finds the mix-up amusing, saying, “Everyone asked me if I was in SNL,” referring to Gasteyer's time on Saturday Night Live. Both actresses attended Northwestern University, which Hahn noted may contribute to the confusion. Gasteyer has also addressed the situation, telling PEOPLE in 2019 that she was once mistaken for Hahn by saxophonist Kenny G. Gasteyer didn’t correct him, saying, “I didn’t have the heart to tell Kenny G I wasn’t Kathryn Hahn, so I just said, ‘Thank you, it was super fun working with you.’”
Hahn is currently promoting the WandaVision spinoff Agatha All Along on Disney+, where she reprises her role as Agatha Harkness. The series airs new episodes every Wednesday.
