Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have officially finalized their divorce, six years after their initial separation.
While the full details of the divorce remain sealed, Page Six has confirmed through court documents obtained on Wednesday that both Tatum and Dewan have agreed to waive spousal support and will consult a judge privately for any future issues regarding child support.
They have a 45-day window to either agree on changes to child support or to resolve any breach of contract related to the agreement.
Tatum, 44, and Dewan, 43, share an 11-year-old daughter named Everly, whom they co-parent.
Dewan originally filed for divorce in 2018 after nine years of marriage. The couple had faced a lengthy dispute over Tatum’s earnings from the "Magic Mike" franchise, which he began working on while they were married.
Their settlement has allowed them to avoid going to trial, which had been scheduled for December.
The couple first met on the set of "Step Up" in 2006, got engaged in 2008, and married in Malibu on July 11, 2009.
During the divorce proceedings, they agreed that their official separation date was April 2, 2018, and a judge legally declared them single on November 20, 2019.
Just a few weeks prior, their divorce seemed to be at a standstill due to disagreements over Tatum’s earnings from the "Magic Mike" films.
Dewan had claimed that Tatum had used joint marital funds to help launch the project, entitling her to a portion of the profits.
“As long as this divorce case lingers on, he will continue to enjoy the unfair benefit of collecting the ‘Magic Mike’ proceeds without paying Jenna her fair share – something he has been doing for years,” her legal filing, obtained by Page Six in August, stated.
On the other hand, Tatum's legal team argued that Dewan was using the issue as a “delay tactic to prolong” the divorce process.
They also stated that Tatum had made “countless settlement proposals, attended multiple mediations, his attorneys have prepared numerous drafts of a proposed judgment, and he has tried to resolve issues directly.”
Although the pair had already been declared legally single, this settlement allows them to fully move forward and focus on their current relationships.
