Batter Kamran Ghulam, who has been in outstanding form for the Markhors in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup, has voiced his optimism for future inclusion in Pakistan's national cricket team.

With two centuries to his name in the tournament, the right-handed batter remains confident that his consistent performances will eventually catch the attention of the selectors.

Speaking to the media in Faisalabad, Kamran expressed his determination, stating, "My job is to perform; I've been delivering for three years."

Despite not receiving a national call-up yet, the prolific run-scorer is keeping his focus on the game. He highlighted the tournament as a vital platform for emerging talent, emphasizing his intent to maintain top-level performances.

The 28-year-old also addressed the pressures of the playoffs, assuring that he's not letting it affect his game. "I'm not taking any additional pressure during the playoffs, and the team's environment is excellent," he noted. The batter underlined the crucial role of fitness in modern cricket, saying, "If you're not fit, you can't play in all three formats. Only fit players can deliver consistent performances."

He further praised the competitive nature of the Champions One-Day Cup, acknowledging the balanced nature of the Faisalabad pitch, which provides opportunities for both batters and bowlers. As the tournament moves into the playoff stages, Kamran remains focused on continuing his exceptional form.

It is worth noting that Kamran is currently the top run-scorer in the ongoing tournament, amassing 247 runs in just four innings, including two centuries, and boasting an impressive average of 61.75.
