Taylor Swift did not attend the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 3 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, marking the first time this season she has missed a game. Swift had been present at the Chiefs’ first two games, both held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, where the team secured victories. On Sunday night, however, the Chiefs were on the road in Atlanta, and Swift did not make an appearance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Travis Kelce, who has struggled in the first two games of the season with only four catches for 39 yards, faced some early criticism from ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. Reflecting on Kelce’s performance, Smith said, "We saw more of Taylor Swift than we saw of Travis Kelce yesterday... That wasn’t supposed to happen." Smith added, "Football season is here. Honeymoon’s over. Let’s handle our business, OK."
Despite Kelce’s slow start, the Chiefs are expected to rely heavily on him as the season progresses. Swift’s previous appearances have added significant attention to the Chiefs’ games, but her absence on Sunday was noticeable. The Chiefs, without Swift in attendance, aimed to stay focused on securing a win against the Falcons.
