Former President Donald Trump has ruled out running for office again in four years if he loses the 2024 election. In an interview with Sharyl Attkisson on her show "Full Measure," Trump stated, "No, I think that that will be, that will be it. I don't see that at all."
Trump was also asked about potential Cabinet appointments, including tech billionaire Elon Musk and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. While he didn't rule out the possibility of appointing Musk, he emphasized that it's too early to make any decisions. Trump did suggest that Musk could help with "government waste" and praised his ability to cut costs.
As for Gabbard, Trump praised her as a "commonsense person" and noted that she was a great honor to work with. He also mentioned that she was a popular figure in Hawaii and would be "terrific" in a Cabinet role.
Trump's comments come as he prepares for the 2024 election, which is expected to be a highly contested race. His opponents have already begun to make their cases for why they would be the best candidate for the job.
