Earthquake tremors were felt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lower Dir district and its surrounding areas of on Sunday morning, according to reports from the region.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported the epicentre of the 4.5 magnitude earthquake was located at a depth of 129 kilometres, near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
Residents of Dir and other areas of Malakand felt the tremors at 9:21 AM, prompting many to rush out of their homes, reciting religious verses.
Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or property damage.
