Family pardons cop over custodial death

The family of a man, who died in police custody after his arrest over blasphemy charges, forgave the police officer involved in his death, and decided not to pursue legal action against him, according to reports on Thursday.

On September 12,

the officer allegedly killed the blasphemy suspect.

At a press conference on Wednesday, the family members of the deceased, alongside Haji Faizullah Noorzai, the chief of the Noorzai tribe, distanced themselves from the blasphemy allegations. They condemned the suspect's actions.
