George Clooney and Brad Pitt were good sports about the jokes in their upcoming film Wolfs, even when the humor touched on their age. Jon Watts, the film’s writer and director, recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly about how the actors didn’t mind poking fun at themselves in the Apple TV+ action-comedy.

“That was one where you put it in the script and cross your fingers, hoping they won’t get mad,” said Watts. “But no, they liked it. It was the right amount, and they were totally fine having some fun with it.”

The thriller-comedy Wolfs stars Clooney and Pitt as rival fixers hired to cover up a high-profile crime. As per the movie's synopsis, things take a wild turn when the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, resulting in a chaotic night beyond their expectations.

Clooney, who’s known for his long-standing friendship with Pitt, also joked about their bond during the film's premiere at the Venice Film Festival. "There's nothing good about it," Clooney teased PEOPLE about his friendship with Pitt, before adding, “It's fun to work with people you know really well.”
