The final message sent from the Titan submersible before its catastrophic implosion was “all good here,” as revealed during the ongoing US Coast Guard hearings. The Titan lost communication shortly after this message was relayed to its support vessel, the Polar Prince, during a dive to the Titanic wreck in June 2023. 

Investigators are now examining details about the sub’s design and operations, with testimonies raising concerns about safety, insufficient staff training, and the absence of third-party verification for the vessel's unique design. 

Former OceanGate employees, such as Tony Nissen, shared doubts about the submersible’s safety, with Nissen recounting his refusal to pilot the craft, stating, “I’m not getting in it” due to mistrust of the operations crew. The hearing will continue for two weeks, seeking to uncover the cause of the disaster and prevent future incidents in the largely unregulated realm of private undersea exploration​
