Governor praises business community

ISLAMABAD:

 Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Sunday said the business community is playing a pivotal role in the economic well-being of the country, with one of its most significant contributions being job creation.

Addressing a ceremony in the federal capital, the governor noted that the business community boosts consumer spending, drives economic growth and improves overall living standards.

While deliberating on the IPPs issue, he said the government must take necessary initiatives not only on this matter but also regarding gas, adding that it should focus on initiating work on the Pak-Iran gas pipeline for the country's economic well-being.
