A man has been accused of raping his 22-year-old daughter in Beli Dilawar area. The Ahmedyar police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him.
A woman submitted a complaint at the Ahmedyar police station, stating that she had married the suspect, Niaz, 24 years ago. Two years after their marriage, a daughter was born, after which the couple divorced. The girl lived with her mother.
After 10 years, the complainant married her ex-husband's brother Qasim and settled in his home, where the suspect also resided.
The complainant alleged that her former husband had raped his daughter and the unmarried girl had given birth to a child.
The Ahmedyar police registered a case on the complaint and arrested the suspect, who was being interrogated.
Pakpattan District Police Officer Tariq Wilayat said the suspect nominated in the complaint had been arrested, while the case was being investigated keeping all aspects in view.
He said the investigation of the case would be completed after the medical, Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory and DNA reports would be received.
