During a rally in Las Vegas on Friday, former President Donald Trump caused a stir when he mistakenly referred to reggaeton artist Nicky Jam as a woman.

Trump, while thanking Nicky Jam for his support, remarked, “Do you know Nicky? She’s hot. Where’s Nicky?” The singer promptly came up to the stage, prompting Trump to correct himself by saying, “Oh, look, I’m glad he came up.”

This incident comes as celebrities increasingly take sides in the 2024 presidential race. Several high-profile names have voiced support for candidates, including Taylor Swift, who endorsed Kamala Harris in an Instagram post following a debate between Harris and Trump.

Swift's post included a photo of her holding her cat, which quickly gained attention across social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Martha Stewart, at the Retail Influencer CEO Forum, announced her support for Harris, stating that she desires a president "who doesn’t hate New York" and "doesn’t hate democracy." Additionally, actress Aubrey Plaza shared a picture of herself with Grumpy Cat, captioning it “HARRIS 🇺🇸 WALZ.”

Mel Brooks and Stevie Nicks also joined the conversation, with Brooks endorsing Harris-Walz and Nicks calling on her followers to vote, though she did not mention a specific candidate.

On the other side, Trump continues to gather endorsements from celebrities such as UFC President Dana White and country stars Chris Janson and Jason Aldean. The election remains a battleground for celebrity influence as November approaches.
