Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah met with Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss the initiation of key road projects in the province, after securing federal funding.

During the meeting, it was decided that funds would be released to start work on important roads, including the Mehran Highway and the Jamshoro to Sehwan national highway.

The Sindh CM highlighted that the provincial government had already allocated PKR 7 billion for the construction of the national highway some time ago.

Discussions also revolved around the dualisation of the Mehran Highway and the completion of the Jamshoro to Sehwan road, critical projects for improving the region's infrastructure.

Federal Finance Minister Aurangzeb assured CM Murad Ali Shah of the immediate release of funds under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for these road projects.

Both leaders also addressed broader economic challenges facing the country and potential solutions.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, Federal Finance Secretary Imdadullah Bosal, CM’s Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, and Provincial Finance Secretary Fayaz Jatoi.

CM Shah reaffirmed Sindh’s commitment to contributing to national economic improvement through effective measures.
