During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Joe Budden claimed that Kendrick Lamar may have warned Drake before their diss tracks were released. According to Budden, he heard that Kendrick and Drake had a conversation before their lyrical feud escalated.

“I also heard that Drake and Kendrick had a talk before any diss record was released," Budden explained. He added that Kendrick might have told Drake to "keep it light," although the situation unfolded much more aggressively than suggested.

The feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has been one of the most talked-about battles in hip-hop. Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us," in which he accuses Drake and his crew of serious offenses, has gained significant attention. Budden likened the conversation between the two artists to a casual exchange, referencing Teddy Pendergrass by saying, “Hey, how do you want this to go?”

Kendrick Lamar’s role as the 2025 Super Bowl halftime headliner has led to speculation about whether he will perform "Not Like Us." While fans are eager for a live performance, some insiders, including Charlamagne Tha God, believe that Drake might take legal action if the song is included in the set.

It remains unclear how the situation will develop, but the rumored conversation between Drake and Kendrick has added another layer to the ongoing narrative between the two artists.
