As Young Thug grapples with serious RICO charges that could land him up to 120 years in prison, the rapper made time to extend support to NFL star Tyreek Hill, who recently faced legal trouble of his own.
On September 8, Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, was detained by police outside Hard Rock Stadium before a game.
According to reports, Hill was driving erratically without wearing a seatbelt and had his teammate Calais Campbell in the car.
The situation escalated when Hill opened his car door, prompting police to forcibly remove him and push him to the ground.
Hill was eventually cited and released without arrest, but the incident sparked significant media coverage.
Despite his own ongoing legal battles, Young Thug took to social media to shout out Hill.
"The Cheetah's free," Thug tweeted, referencing Hill's well-known nickname.
This show of solidarity isn’t one-sided, as Hill himself gave Young Thug a nod after the Dolphins' game during a post-game interview with CBS.
Instead of addressing questions about the traffic stop, Hill wiped his nose and said "SLATT," a signature phrase of Young Thug’s YSL group, further cementing the bond between the two celebrities.
The Miami-Dade Police Union later released a statement clarifying that Hill was not arrested but had been "uncooperative" with officers.
They explained that Hill had refused to sit on the ground and was therefore redirected forcibly. Although Hill’s legal situation has concluded, Young Thug continues to face his own significant legal hurdles.
The rapper's ongoing RICO case, which involves his alleged affiliation with the YSL group, remains a critical point of focus, with the rapper potentially facing life-altering consequences.
