On a recent episode of "The Breakfast Club," Charlamagne Tha God voiced his concerns about potential legal challenges following Kendrick Lamar’s announcement to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

Charlamagne specifically highlighted the possibility of legal repercussions if Lamar performs his controversial track "Not Like Us," which includes direct jabs at fellow artist Drake.

Charlamagne explained, "If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook,” indicating his anticipation for the performance but also his awareness of the potential backlash.

He continued, "If you think that the NFL and Roc Nation and a bunch of other people didn't get a whole bunch of legal letters yesterday from people with owls as their stamp. I promise you, you're not calling me a pedophile at the Super Bowl. I guarantee you, the OVO people sent so many legal letters yesterday."

The discussion also touched on the disappointment among fans and celebrities that Lil Wayne, a native of New Orleans where the Super Bowl will be held, was not selected to perform.

Prominent figures like Master P have publicly supported the inclusion of Lil Wayne in the halftime festivities, emphasizing the cultural significance and the need to honor local legends while they can still be celebrated.

"As Ambassador of Entertainment in the City of New Orleans I have to agree with the fans that Lil Wayne should be a part of this celebration as well. He's one of the greatest Hip Hop artists alive, still relevant and he's a New Orleans native," Master P stated on social media.

The debate over the halftime show lineup continues to stir up discussions on representation and respect in the music industry, highlighting the complex dynamics of celebrity endorsements and the power of legacy in the arts.
