The KESC be praised

The KESC be praised

KARACHI: There is one department in KESC that work with full efficiency and it’s the one that is in charge of the city’s loadshedding. I live in Clifton and have not been receiving bills since five months now. When my neighbour went to the nearby KESC office to complain, he was told that the utility’s staff was on strike and that his complaint would be heard only after the strike was over. The strike is apparently over but his complaint remains unheard and we have yet to receive a bill. As for the company’s helpline numbers, no one ever picks up and if they do, they are not very helpful. The KESC does an excellent job of ensuring that the various localities of Karachi experience loadshedding at a given time but it cannot deal with a matter as straightforward as that of a bill being sent to a subscriber on time and with regularity.

Kesc has turned city of lights into city (off) lights...
