King Charles running out of time and tolerance for Prince Andrew

King Charles is exploring solutions for Prince Andrew’s costly security and living arrangements.

King Charles is reportedly becoming increasingly frustrated with his younger brother, Prince Andrew, as the ongoing issue of his living arrangements remains unresolved. Despite stepping back from official royal duties nearly five years ago, the Duke of York continues to reside at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

With the Home Office having revoked Andrew's security, King Charles has been covering the estimated £3 million annual cost for his protection. Additionally, the monarch provides a living allowance for his brother. However, royal insiders suggest that the 75-year-old king is running out of patience and is keen to find a resolution.

Two potential solutions are being considered. The first would require Prince Andrew to bear the cost of his own security and income. Given his only income source is a modest navy pension, this scenario seems improbable.

The second option, and seemingly more practical, involves relocating Andrew to Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Located within the Windsor security perimeter, Frogmore Cottage would allow King Charles to continue supporting his brother while addressing security concerns.

A source told The Times, "It is now two years into the King’s reign and he wants the matter settled."
