The sudden death of Rich Homie Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, has left the music industry and his fans in shock.

The 34-year-old rapper was found dead in his home in Atlanta, as confirmed by a distressing 911 call made by his girlfriend, Amber Williams, and released to the public.

During the call, Williams expressed her fear and desperation, saying, "I left him on the couch before I took my son to school this morning and I put a blanket over him and now I just checked on him again cause he never got up. I don't see him breathing," revealing the alarming situation that morning.

As the operator guided her, Williams described more troubling signs: "I turned him over [and he was] foaming at the mouth."

The call captures the intense emotion as she followed the instructions to lay him on the floor, crying out, "He's not waking up. His heart's not beating or anything."

The cause of Quan's death is currently undetermined, with an autopsy scheduled to clarify the circumstances. His last public communication through social media hinted at personal challenges, with a poignant message: "Vision clear even through the BS."

This statement, along with his planned appearance at a Labor Day event in Arkansas, highlights the suddenness of his passing.

Rich Homie Quan's career achievements, including his popular tracks "Flex" and "Type of Way," and his involvement in the Rich Gang project with Young Thug, have cemented his legacy in the music world.

Despite their past collaboration, Quan had expressed in recent podcasts his decision to step back from situations that conflicted with his personal morals, emphasizing a divide that had developed between him and some of his earlier associates.

As tributes continue to flood in, the music community remembers Quan not just for his contributions to hip-hop but for the impact he had on his listeners and peers alike.
