Man, nephew killed

BATTAGRAM:

Unidentified men shot and killed a man and his nephew over a longstanding land feud in the jursisdiction of Shamlai police station on Thursday. Police said that armed men gunned down Ishaq just as he stepped out of his house.

Upon hearing the gunshots, his nephew, Taj Muhammad, rushed outside and was also fatally shot.

After the incident, Shamlai police and District Police Officer Battagram Ayaz Khan arrived at the scene and, after assessing the situation, transferred the bodies to the DHQ Hospital Battagram for post-mortem.

The family of the victims has lodged an FIR against two suspects, Majid and Abdul Basir. Local residents confirmed that the two families have been embroiled in a bitter land dispute, which has previously led to violence and property damage.
