Katy Perry became emotional as she reflected on her past breakup and eventual reconciliation with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, during a recent appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast. The couple, who started dating in 2016, separated in 2017 and reconciled a year later. They got engaged in 2019 and now share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy.

Perry, 39, revealed that she and Bloom barely communicated during their separation, saying, “He was boundaried.” She also acknowledged that their reconciliation required both of them to work on themselves. Perry shared how she realized she needed help, despite her strong and independent persona: “I do have needs. And I do need help sometimes,” she tearfully admitted.

A turning point came when Bloom attended the Hoffman Process, an intensive therapy program, which prompted Perry to reflect on her personal growth. After completing the same therapy herself, Perry stated, “It saved my life. I would not be on this planet without that process”,

Perry attributed the success of their relationship to their commitment to personal development. “The more we do the work, the more we find the next level,” she said. The couple continues to work through challenges together, deepening their bond,
