Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed the program’s steadfast commitment to serving the country's most vulnerable populations, irrespective of religion, caste, or background.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Pakistan People’s Party Minority Wing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, Khalid stressed that BISP employs a scientific and transparent mechanism for registering beneficiaries, following the special directives of the president and prime minister.
She assured that the program’s policies and procedures guarantee equal access to benefits for all eligible individuals, with no discrimination.
Earlier in the meeting, the delegation voiced concerns about the challenges faced by their community members during the registration process. The chairperson promptly addressed these issues, instructing the relevant staff to prioritise and resolve them.
She also expressed BISP’s willingness to collaborate with minority communities to bridge any gaps and enhance their socio-economic status by providing comprehensive support.
