Amy Slaton, a star of the reality TV show "1000-Lb. Sisters," was arrested on September 2 at a zoo in Tennessee on charges of drug possession and child endangerment, according to a statement from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department. Slaton, along with Brian Scott Lovvorn, was charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI substances, as well as two counts of child endangerment.

The arrest occurred after authorities were called to the Safari Park in Tennessee following an incident where a guest was allegedly bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, deputies detected suspicious odors emanating from Slaton and Lovvorn's vehicle, leading to further investigation and the subsequent charges.

The Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Facebook, including mugshots of Slaton and Lovvorn, but emphasized that "the charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law."

Slaton, who has gained fame through her appearances on the TLC series, shares two young children, Gage Deon Halterman, 4, and Glenn Allen Halterman, 2, with her ex-husband Michael Halterman. The Sheriff's Department did not provide additional details regarding the child endangerment charges.

Slaton, who has been open about her personal struggles on social media, had recently shared details of her relationships following her divorce, though her connection to Lovvorn remains unclear.
