In a recent Instagram interview conducted by Gallery Books, Kelly Bishop, who played Emily Gilmore on "Gilmore Girls," shared her preference for Rory Gilmore's boyfriends. Bishop, who will release her memoir "The Third Gilmore Girl" on September 17, revealed she is "Team Logan," referring to Logan Huntzberger, portrayed by Matt Czuchry.
“I have to admit I’m Team Logan, although I really love the other two,” Bishop said. She praised Logan for his “manly quality,” noting, “There’s something about his acting that I particularly liked in working with him... Logan was like an old movie star, like a man.” Bishop's remarks come as part of the promotion for her upcoming memoir, published by the Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books.
Logan, a character introduced in Season 5 of the series, stands out for his background in a legacy newspaper dynasty and his candid discussions about privileged backgrounds with Rory. Bishop contrasted Logan with Rory’s previous boyfriends: Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia), known for his bad-boy image and love of classic literature, and Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), her first love and later romantic partner.
Fans of the series continue to debate the merits of Rory’s relationships as they rewatch the show, particularly during the fall season, which evokes the cozy, autumnal setting of Stars Hollow. The show, which originally aired for seven seasons, has enjoyed renewed interest through social media and nostalgia.
