Two men arrested in connection with dozens of robberies and the murder of a police constable were killed by their accomplices, according to then police.

The bodies were shifted to the Allied Hospital for post-mortem.

Both the deceased belonged to the Oudh gang. Police officers formed teams to arrest the accomplices of then deceased.

According to local sources, the Thikriwala police had arrested the wanted men, Abdul Majeed, a resident of 204RB and Shamshad, of 204RB, who were wanted in the case of the martyrdom of Constable Abid a few days ago. The police had obtained their physical remand.

On Sunday night, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Saleem was returning with the detained men after seizing the murder weapon when six armed men on three motorcycles attacked the police to rescue their accomplices. As a result of a crossfire, the two arrested suspects, Abdul Majeed and Shamshad, were killed.
