10 rescued safely from roof cave-in
The roof of a two-storey house in Chakiwara, Lyari, collapsed on Sunday. A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 reported that no fatalities were reported, while 10 people, including women and children, were safely rescued.
The spokesperson also noted that the house is in a dilapidated condition and its structure could collapse at any time. Lyari Assistant Commissioner Majid Altaf arrived at the scene to oversee the rescue operation.
Sindh Building Control Authority has also been summoned to the site to assess the building's infrastructure and determine whether it should be demolished, said the spokesperson.
