Smuggled Iranian diesel seized

KARACHI:

The Pakistan Customs Enforcement Karachi, as part of its anti-smuggling campaign, conducted a raid at the Ajmer Petrol Pump on Northern Bypass and seized 29,500 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel from an underground tank.

Deputy Collector Customs Enforcement Muhammad Raza Naqvi said the operation was carried out on a tip-off from a sensitive agency. The total value of the seized diesel is 8 million rupees, which has been taken into custody and confiscated by the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation and transferred to the ASO warehouse.
