At least two traders were killed and nine others injured in a road traffic accident.
A tractor-trolley loaded with wood collided with another vehicle on Jhang Road and then rammed into a pick-up, injuring 11 traders who were on their way to the local Sabz Mandi.
According to local sources, the injured, including Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of 73GB, Abdul Hafeez, Imtiaz, Riyaz, Muhammad Nawaz, Raza, Shafiq, Sajjad and Muhammad Bilal were provided first aid by a rescue team and shifted to the Allied Hospital.
However, 45-year-old Ghulam Mustafa and another unidentified trader of the same age succumbed to their injuries.
The area police took custody of the bodies and handed them over to the relatives of the victims after completing the legal formalities.
According to the police, the tractor-trolley loaded with wood collided with the pick-up transporting traders to the Sabz Mandi. As a result, two people died while nine were shifted to the hospital with injuries.
