Less than a day after CNN aired the first joint interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her vice president pick, Tim Walz, Bill Maher shared his thoughts on the questions posed by Dana Bash.

On his show 'Real Time,' Maher quipped about the interview, noting how Walz remained silent for most of the conversation, comparing it to "watching Jeopardy! when one of the players can’t work the buzzer."

Maher pointed out that the media had been "furious" over Harris' absence from national interviews since launching her campaign.

However, he criticized the interview for not addressing significant issues like abortion, Ukraine, the opioid crisis, or the national debt.

Maher also mocked the standard "What would you do on day one?" question often asked in such interviews, wishing for a more realistic response from candidates.

Despite the criticism, the CNN interview drew 6.31 million viewers, as per Nielsen's same-day ratings.

Maher’s comments reflect his ongoing critique of media coverage, emphasizing how major news outlets often miss the mark on asking the right questions.

He also noted that Trump, unsurprisingly, tweeted his disdain for the interview, which Maher dismissed with a call for more "boring" politics.
