Saudi Arabia's government has imposed a ban on sick individuals performing Hajj and stated that only healthy and fit people will be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.

According to Express News, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has sent a health advisory regarding Hajj 2025 to Pakistan's Ministry of Religious Affairs, informing them that individuals with serious illnesses will not be allowed to travel for Hajj.

The advisory specifies that only healthy pilgrims will be permitted due to extreme weather conditions. Those with kidney, heart, lung, liver conditions, or cancer, as well as individuals with dementia, infectious diseases like TB, and children under 12 or pregnant women, are prohibited from traveling. Pilgrims must also receive vaccinations for meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and polio.
