Aisam and Bopanna cruise into US Open men's doubles semis

Beat the British pair, Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins, 7-5, 2-6 and 7-5.

NEW YORK: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna reached the semi-finals of the US Open on Friday.

The fifth-seeded pair beat the British pair of Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins in the match, which was delayed due to rain, by 7-5, 2-6 and 7-5.

The Indo-Pak Express will face the Polish pair of Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski for a place in the final on September 10.

Qureshi and Bopanna had finished as runners-up in the men’s doubles event at last year’s US Open.

At the end of an 82-minute battle, the sixth-seed duo from Poland got the better of the Indo-Pak Express 6-2, 7-6, (7-4). sad, hope for next time.
