Four years after the passing of her "Black Panther" co-star Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o continues to grapple with the profound grief of his loss. Boseman, who tragically passed away in 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer, left an indelible mark on Hollywood and the world. Nyong'o's tribute echoed the sentiments she expressed shortly after his death, describing the difficulty of processing the loss of someone who seemed to possess an "immortal energy."

Earlier this year, Nyong'o starred in "A Quiet Place: Day One," a film that she revealed helped her cope with Boseman's death by confronting her own mortality.  She shared that the film brought her closer to understanding the questions she had been grappling with since losing her friend.

In 2023, on the third anniversary of Boseman's passing, Nyong'o reflected on the "singular pain" of his loss and the long road to rediscovering joy.  Her recent tribute serves as a reminder of the enduring power of Boseman's legacy and the deep bond they shared.
