Man kills wife for honour in Pindi

A man killed his wife with a shovel in the name of honour in Taxila on Wednesday. Initially, he buried the body in a field, and later staged an accident to cover up the crime. The Taxila police have registered a case based on the complaint of the victim's father.

According to the police, the incident occurred two days ago. They have recovered the body and the murder weapon from near the suspect Nadeem Yaseen's house. A case has been filed against the accused by the victim Anum Bibi's father, Muhammad Azam.

The victim's father reported that the accused had been accusing his daughter of immoral behaviour for months. The victim had also shared this with her sisters. Initially, the son-in-law informed that the daughter had died in an accident.

However, upon reaching her home, it was discovered that the accused had killed his wife with a shovel and buried her body.

He later retrieved the body and staged an accident. The police have recovered the body and sent it to the THQ hospital for a post-mortem examination.

SHO Raja Gultaj from the Taxila police station stated that the suspect has been arrested and the shovel has been seized. The suspect has also confessed to the murder.
