Channing Tatum revealed that he dislikes doing laundry so much that he spent an entire year buying new clothes to avoid it.
In a recent GQ video where the Blink Twice actor shared his 10 daily essentials, Tatum, 44, included items like his dog Cutie, a deck of cards, a vintage Polaroid camera, and a picture of his 11-year-old daughter, Everly.
While discussing his fondness for classic plain white t-shirts, Tatum made an intriguing confession about his aversion to laundry. "I hate doing laundry. I hate it more than I can possibly say," he admitted at the 7:54 mark in the video. I had one year that I called the ‘Year of the Fresh White Tee,’ and I don't think I did laundry all year that year, and I just wore white t-shirts that I just bought. I'd be like, ‘I can get like two wears out of this a week. This is gonna be good.’”
For those curious why he didn’t simply hire someone to do his laundry, Tatum clarified that his "Year of the Fresh White Tee" occurred between 1999 and 2000, when he was 20 years old, still six years away from his breakout role in Step Up and another six years from Magic Mike.
Tatum didn't elaborate on where all those used t-shirts ended up, whether he washed other clothes, or how much he might have saved on detergent and water bills during that time.
