The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated the process of selling the naming rights for the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, inviting interested parties to submit proposals.

This move is part of the PCB's ongoing efforts to capitalize on commercial opportunities and enhance revenue streams for the advancement of cricket in Pakistan.

The PCB has already engaged in discussions with the Bank of Punjab, with reports suggesting that a significant commercial agreement is on the horizon.

Under this deal, the Bank of Punjab is expected to acquire the naming rights to Gaddafi Stadium for the next five years.

This agreement is seen as a strategic move by the PCB to leverage the stadium's historic value while aligning with global trends where prominent sports venues partner with leading corporations for mutually beneficial agreements.

The rebranding of Gaddafi Stadium to reflect the bank's identity will mark a significant shift, similar to the rebranding of the National Stadium in Karachi, which was renamed National Bank Cricket Arena under a five-year naming-rights agreement with the National Bank of Pakistan in October 2022.

The title was later updated to National Bank Stadium.

Parties interested in acquiring the naming rights for Gaddafi Stadium can obtain the detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) documentation from the PCB's Manager of Key Accounts & Partnerships, Mr. Omer Iftikhar, during working hours until July 25th, 2024.

Queries related to the RFP can be directed to the official email address provided by the PCB.
